Map of the Territory of Wisconsin
This map was created to accompany a congressional report shows the then Wisconsin Territory, including present-day states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and parts of North and South Dakota. Although not part of the Wisconsin Territory the map also includes northern Illinois. The map shows Native American tribal regions, land cessions and General Land Office districts. Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, rivers, other lakes, and major geographical features are labeled. The map includes annotations in blue. |
