Discover dynamic photos that capture stunning moments in time from the glaciers that carved the Dells out of the Wisconsin wilderness to today’s thriving tourism industry. Hear stories of the Ho Chunk Nation, who have had a presence on this land since time immemorial and have been stewards of its conservation throughout the generations. Learn about the Europeans and Americans who came to the area, and how the early photographs of Leroy Gates and H.H. Bennett helped share the natural wonders of the region with the world, attracting generations of tourists. See and hear how this tourism boom and other industries have transformed the area over the decades.

Panelists include:

Kevin Miyazaki - Artist and photographer. Miyazaki's art focuses on issues of ethnicity, migration and place, often addressing family history.

Mark Brautigam - Artist and photographer. Brautigam's specialty is large-format and evocative landscapes that shift between an emphasis on people and place.

This event is sponsored in part by the Dells Masonic Lodge.
